Biennale Arte 2022 - United States of America ‘Simone Leigh: Sovereignty’
Characterised by an interest in performativity and affect, Simone Leigh’s expansive body of work in sculpture, video, and performance parses the construction of Black femme subjectivity. Leigh’s large-scale sculptural works join forms derived from vernacular architecture and the female body, rendering them via materials and processes associated with the artistic traditions of Africa and the African diaspora, redefining notions of space, time, and existence.

Biennale Arte 2022 Denmark ‘We Walked the Earth’
Переглядів 562 місяці тому
Step into a hyperrealistic world of unexpected drama. Set in a strange hybrid time period where elements from the historical past of Danish farm life blend with unfamiliar phenomena from the sci-fi future of a trans-human world, the drama revolves around a family of three. This is, however, no ordinary family, which is obvious from the moment you enter their home and encounter the inhabitants a...
Biennale Arte 2022 - Republic of Korea ‘Gyre’
Переглядів 472 місяці тому
The exhibition Gyre explores the world as a labyrinth, where there are both motion in stillness and stillness in motion, embracing nonhuman objects and material reality. Based on the artist - Yunchul Kim’s transdisciplinary research into literature, mythology, philosophy, and science, he creates a universe within the Korean Pavilion, where his pataphysical installations continuously metamorphos...
Beams 'Thin Air' - Matthew Schreiber - Banshee 2023
Переглядів 405 місяців тому
A site-specific light sculpture, Banshee 2023 responds to the volume of the room it inhabits. The precise placement of lasers produces a series of geometric patterns frozen in space. Evoking the tools of the entertainment industry and its production of spectacle, visitors are invited to move within a static light show, seeing it change as we shift our position in the room. Coverage of Beams 'Th...
Beams 'Thin Air' - Robert Henke: Phosphor

In this installation, an ultraviolet laser paints temporary traces, algorithmically and randomly produced, on a layer of phosphorus. Retained for just a moment, the lines are ever-evolving, combining into marks that evoke natural patterns of erosion. Composed of 1100 metres of LED cable, this complex light architecture sculpts ever-shifting boundaries in light and shadow. Designed as a comment on the increasing polarisation of our world, the changing environments expose the unreality of the borders and differences that separate us. Beams 'Thin Air' - 404.Zero - 3.24
Переглядів 1975 місяців тому
Like architecture in motion, 3.24 shuffles through a series of existential experiences by redrawing the space through light. An immersive sound element underlines the shifting multisensory environment, creating synaesthetic perceptions of infinite space, silence and death. In this installation, laser light travels down a corridor at 110Hz per second, which is a wavelength of just under 3 metres. As visitors pass through the installation, their viewing distance is sliced into even sections This creates a visual mantra, a repeated series of waves, which increase in amplitude. 110Hz is known as the ‘human pitch’, Stimulating the right side of the brain, where art, s...

It screams child exploitation- especially of boys, especially of white boys - the most IGNORED children out there across the globe because as all globalist governments are spewing - hating whites & their children is the CURRENT THING & condoned.
Is that infinity + fiber optic
Remember watching him on Blue Peter years ago. Amazing talent
I remember watching a documentary on him sometime in the 90’s. His ability to memorise entire landscapes then draw them is amazing. I’m glad to see he’s doing well. 🙏🏾

Bienalle ? Maybe you meant “biennale” which is something stretched over a period of two years

It's like you are in some type of dimension that can have anything to do with the point of view
We should just make up a name for it and call it that just to piss Anish Kapoor off even further lmao
someone should piss in it
These are the dumbest things that have ever been created. I want 20.
I saw this one as just an image and didn't get it, but in motion this is... one of the most horrible things I've seen, and I mean that in a positive way, it's accurate to child abuse and just the helpless pointless nature of it. Art is so wonderful and terrible all at once.
Look away...
